Here are two pieces that I have created for the exhibition at the Jewish Zack Gallery in Vancouver.

I am using covering as a metaphor for forgetting and suppressing the past. A leaden blanket being put on horrible events of the past, which people just want to go away and forget. Instead, only remembering can heal, accepting even those horrible events of our past as part of our identity and integrating them into collective memory. Only with the knowledge and acceptance of our the past can people take on responsibility and move forward.

Forgetting I and Forgetting II
